QUOTE(bamadude @ Apr 12 2007 - 02:48 PM) 826435996What ever you say lady, Blowneida is a joke.

bummerdud instead of bashing everybody on here why don't you enlighten us on what your bluedevils have got coming back for next year and tell us about the hard work they're doing in the weight room and if any changes have been made on the coaching staff and so on and so on. or do you even have a clue about any of that?

QUOTE(backbone09 @ Apr 12 2007 - 09:23 PM) 826436284How is oneida looking with the backs this year???

It's really a toss up..there is alot of potential in the up coming sophomore class as well as quickness. Lewallen was the 1st sub for AJ last year and had alot of carries. Boles also had alot of playing time in the backfield, and is returning. I think there are many possible combinations of guys that can gain some yards and move the chains. Really depends on who's working hard in the weight room right now and who will run hard.

offensively....

Buttram is a great athlete if he stays healthy he is the most threat on the perimiter.

Lewallen hard runner not the fastest back

Hudson is a scat back

Slaven should settle in at qb this yr and make some plays

The offensive line will be much better...mostly all juniors lead by Justin Terry

Defensively

A good returnin front seven....again lead by justin terry

Lewallen, sexton, Andew Buttram, Lowe or possibly someone else will play linebacker

The secondary is young only returning Aaron Buttram but should be pretty good

There are alot of other good players that will help out alot also

I have some inquiries about the team myself, so anyone feel free to enlighten me. 1) Will T. Jeffers ever bulk up enough to make an impact in the backfield? I recall he was an immpressive runner in Jr. High. His open field speed was very good, too. He is long and very hard to get a clean shot on him because, frankly, there isn't much to hit. (size) Anyway, is he out of the mix, reciever, or something else? 2) Will A. Buttram ever come untracked as a playmaker? I'm not ragging on him, because I realize he has some intangibles that are very good. His past "struggles" are often of his own making at times. Dropped balls, missed assignments, and his propensity to quit when the going gets tough are things that have hurt him from time to time. Over that, the kid can turn a 5 yard slant into a 64 yard touchdown, return punts all the way to the house (kick-offs, too), make the reverse a very effective weapon for the offense, and intercept a ball giving his team a short field to work with. Trust me, not every team has one of these. 3) Are the "Hogs" going to be better against stacked defenses? I know, how can you block 7 in the box with 6 blockers? Intelligently /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> I think it boils down to reading the defense in front of you, and eliminating players at the point of attack. Last year we got strung out a lot or broke down in instances where one guy wiffed and the defense made a play. Our running backs will go only as far as the boys up front let them. Linemen can turn average running backs into Emmitt Smith. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> 4) Who is the strongest Indian? Might makes Right! 5) Will Lambo's Defense be better than last year? They were pretty good last season......will this one hold up? 6)Is bamaboy a dork? Wait, don't answer that one....I already know! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

To answer question 1...T.Jeffers will make an impact but as a reciever opposite of A buttram probably. Jeffers has Great hands and decent speed, plays hard, and is good on defense as well. As for him in the backfield, doubtful..good in jr high because..well lets face it...Terry and Duncan on the line facing 13 and 14 year olds can clear a path for anyone. Buttram will make plays his senior year..i think you'll see him actually giving great effort and using his god given skills to make plays that noone else can.Stongest indian? take ur pick from about any in the Junior class(Terry,Duncan,Posey,Keeton,Lewallen,Lowe), and a 300 LB+ bencher in the senior class (Brummett).
