This could depend on whether the gap is filled after the Vanderbilt signee is replaced. Sonny Grey has a lot of interest in baseball right now, could that hold him out of his senior year as a Bulldog on the football field? I wouldn't think so.

The Bulldogs could put up a fight for the number 1 spot again this year. They must carry this ring with confidence and take the region first and foremost.

The Vanderbilt signee was not their best offensive lineman.Yes he was a good high school football player but not their best.

Most teams that win championships get a few breaks along the way. Being ready to take advantage of those breaks is what sets the good teams apart.

Smyrna has a lot of good football players returning and has put together a tough schedule that will help prepare them. I'd say they're pretty serious about winning it all again. As far as Sonny goes, I'd expect him to play unless a baseball coach somewhere (college or pro) gets involved.

Whem Syrna put together that non-region schedule of Brentwood, Brentwood Academy, and Gallatin it should have gotten everyones attention. They are preparing for November/December.

I was afraid you were going to say that, but he is fun to watch! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I figure Week 9 will decide who is Region Champs again this year, and the playoffs is anybodies guess.
