This could depend on whether the gap is filled after the Vanderbilt signee is replaced. Sonny Grey has a lot of interest in baseball right now, could that hold him out of his senior year as a Bulldog on the football field? I wouldn't think so.

 

The Bulldogs could put up a fight for the number 1 spot again this year. They must carry this ring with confidence and take the region first and foremost.

With a solid nucleus coming back, they are clearly the favorites to win state again. I think the only thing that would keep Sonny from playing football is if he was promised he would be drafted and told football was out of the equation by the team wanting him.

Smyrna may win it all they may not but I guarantee you I would not bet against a team led by senior and 3 year starter Sonny Gray.

Most teams that win championships get a few breaks along the way. Being ready to take advantage of those breaks is what sets the good teams apart.

 

Smyrna has a lot of good football players returning and has put together a tough schedule that will help prepare them. I'd say they're pretty serious about winning it all again. As far as Sonny goes, I'd expect him to play unless a baseball coach somewhere (college or pro) gets involved.

 

Whem Syrna put together that non-region schedule of Brentwood, Brentwood Academy, and Gallatin it should have gotten everyones attention. They are preparing for November/December.

i think Smyrna has the best chance to repeat this year not only cause most of there starters where juniors but because of the underclassmen and its talent that smyrna is gaing....i pick this lineup off of a website so take a look at it
