I'm heading back to Northern Virginia Saturday night. Hopefully, on the return trip we'll get to circle south and watch some Lady Rangers and Lady Blue Devils softball. By the time I'm back - late next week - most of the changes (though, not necessarily announced) will have taken place, because, as the Jerry White hiring/re-hiring demonstrates, there's very little time to waste.

But, I'll be on the phone a lot while away.

QUOTE(doctorj @ Mar 29 2007 - 10:39 PM) 826426288[/snapback]Cloudland has been a good team before, but never like they have been with Carp around. He is be the backdoor choice for Hampton. It makes too much sense to hire the old dog back, at least that what we're supposed to think. Carp is the man for the job. He is not too far removed from Bulldog bball and will be the best at relating to the players. NEd will have to compete with Oliver for the Etown job for sure. Everyone will surely be surprised. Think about it.

Oliver isnt even a candidate at Etown, trust me,they barely know who he is!

Maby it's time to get educated about Oliver and Hazelwood. Folks, former players, parents of former players, asst. coaches ,head coaches, ect.....anyone who has had contact with these two coaches(in terms of basketball) please step up and inform the public,PLEASE!!!!! Tell us WHY/WHY NOT this is not the best hire for Betsy.

clearmind - do you have a stake in determining who fills the coaching position at EHS?

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
