I was at the game and it was a well played game by both teams. The first half was probably even with great chances from both teams. The second half farragut played very well and controlled the ball. You could see the west players getting tired as the game wore on. There were some close chances for farragut in the last 10 minutes.

QUOTE(ihavenofriendzz @ Mar 27 2007 - 08:59 PM) 826424411[/snapback]I went by the game and Farragut had a pretty good chance in the last minute or so but the header went right to the goalie.

i heard one of Farraguts players got hurt pretty bad. any word on that?

I heard it was #4 Mitchell Ismael, just a mis-tackle by #2 and Mitchell went down. From what i hear he will be okay just needs a few days of rest

tie 2-2 does not show how the game was. west scored off two throw ins and flicks on to mccoy who redirected it in the goal. first was quite nice, second was pretty lucky. i did not see the first goal (by jake holt) from farragut but the second was a good finish by jake holt. second half was very different in how farragut controlled the ball for the most of the game and only allowed west to come into their defensive third no more then 5 times, while the rest of the game was down in west's defensive third. farragut had many shots and wide open chances that they couldnt put away. a couple post hits and outside side nettings for a very exciting show. i would say shot count 20-4 farragut over west

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
