LP - Wesley Gobble - 6 inn - 3 runs - 3 ER - 9 hits - 9 K - 4 walks - 1 hit batter

 

Page scored 1 run in the bottom of the 1st as Scott Lynn singled and his CR David Seeman eventually scored on a single by Logan Adams

 

Loretto threatened to score in the top of the 3rd as a runner reached base on a FC6, and with 2 outs, a fly ball was hit to the outfield where a fielding error occurred. The ball was relayed to Kory Hammock who threw the runner out at the plate with a strong, accurate throw to end the inning.

 

Page added their final 2 runs in the bottom of the 3rd as Logan Adams walked, Trevor Scott singled, and with 2 outs, Kory Hammock doubled to score Adams and Scott as Page extended their lead to 3-0.

 

Page Pitcher Jeff Hughes struck out all 3 batters in the top of the 7th to end the game.

 

Page's record improves to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in 10-AA while Loretto falls to 7-10 overall and 1-2 in 10-AA.

 

These two teams meet again tomorrow in Loretto at 6:30.

It looks like that good coaching staff that the Page people have put together is starting to pay dividends. This is no rec league staff as they are all trained by Jeff Forehand. Since Page is not at capacity look for the better baseball players in Williamson County to start making their way to Page High School.

Jeff Hughes was rock solid last night and the defense played well behind him.

seriously good coaching staff for Page! So glad to have them!

Besides Head Coach Nathan Brown, Chris Mercadp and Nick Hiter make up the coaching staff at Page. All three played ball at Trevecca and have really good communication with each other. They all relate well to the young Page team and are constantly talking with the players on what they did well or where they could improve their play. It is really interesting to observe them coach during a game.
