While I do not like teams pulling out either, let's not be so harsh. There are sometimes good reasons. Injuries mounting up seems to be the most common. It may not be wise to enter a tourney with only 10 or 11 able players, especially when you have already played in other tourneys and have district games coming up. Burnout can be another problem that a coach or team might sense is coming on. Teams that play in all of these tourneys may actually need some rest and time away from softball to get ready for the coming district and region games. Again, I'm not trying to make excuses for individual teams, just an observation. This stuff happens every year. It would probably be better for some coaches to use a little more foresight when it comes to scheduling so many tourneys in the first place.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
