Sequoyah SID
Just wanted to throw this out for what its worth; Bill Satterfield isn't coaching that I kow of. He would be someone good to bring in with a young coach, rebuild the program, and then turn it over to a younger coach.

Luv Those Dawgs!
I truly hope the Wartburg community is ready to get behind our boys. I would like to thank Coach Davis for all his work at Central over the years, not only on the field but inside school as well. I worked closely with Coach Davis doing fund raisers, dinners, etc. for our boys and you will be hard pressed to find a better man. He cares alot about those boys. All this talk about salary.....and this is for all our county coaches....once you factor in all the time they spend coaching, it's obvious there has to be a love of the sport there. $1500 or $3000 per year , neither one would cover the hours spent at minimum wage. Although I am sad to see him go, I will support the new coach as I always have Larry, because as a parent, community member, alumni, and Bulldog fan......it is simply what you do. Good luck to all Morgan County Football teams this season, may you all enjoy a SAFE and successful season!
Luv Those Dawgs!
I really don't think we will see a great deal of improvement in the program by simply changing coaches. The entire culture needs to change overall I agree. Everyone from players, parents, teachers, student body, and the community.
EastTnCoachTeach
Wartburg will rebuild its program back to where it was in the early 2000's. And when the community gets behind the bulldogs 100 percent, the sky is the limit. Wartburg has allot of young talent coming up, Trout is doing a great job with the middle school, now all we need is our high school program to be successful again. blue_white_01
Season opener for these two teams. I would like to know what everyone thinks about these two teams.
GIBSONJ
What have been some names that might be interested in the job? I know Jay Moore, but whom else?
Luv Those Dawgs!
This is only hearsay.....When the job was posted on the internet there was 8 replies. Once the program and pay were posted 6 withdrew. One of the 2 left is supposed to be someone from North Carolina who has been coaching for a long time, supposedly with 5 championships over the years. As I said this is only hearsay..... I would love to see Jay Moore come back, the boys all think alot of him.
teryyg_45
Most people will think Scott High will just roll over Wartburg because of their long losing streak but that streak was under Davis. So i think if these boys work hard and get a good coach with a good system i think they can win.
GIBSONJ
Wartburg will be VERY young, and under a new coach. I would like to say wartburg but my gut is saying scott county. If wartburg can get a new coach quick and hit the weights, they can win... Its kinda a Toss up... GOOD LUCK BULLDOGS!
EastTnCoachTeach
I agree with Gibson, Wartburg has a long way to go. Wartburg has a very talented team though. With a new coach, a new system. Maybe they can pull it off.
