Polk vs. Meigs

Both Teams have great coaching, pitching, and defense. It will come down to which team gets the KEY two out hits that will win the game. I say......

 

Polk wins on Monday......Meigs wins on Tuesday! But it's just a guess?

I can't wait till Monday. I'm going to be at both of these games and i'm so excited because it should be some good fundamental baseball going on. . . . And maybe with Small Ball specialist Coach Trip, this game might come down to a squeeze play or a delayed steal or something... Never know.

 

Polk wins by 2 Monday and by 1 in 9 innings on Tuesday. Go Polk

Meigs sweeps. Polk is 14-2 and has some amazing batting averages, but they've only beaten one team listed on here as having a winning record-Brainerd. Four of Brainerd's five wins have been against Howard and Sale Creek.

Boyd is on here as 1-5, poor job of their fans/parents adding results. If you're talking about Chattanooga Central, I don't think they're too strong this year either.

IMO you have hit the nail on the head! Polk has really not played anyone and this will hurt them. Every game that I have seen them play they have made several errors, against good teams these errors will kill you. Polk has a few weaknesses that will haunt them. First the Bean kid playing second and Hammonds in right and the sophmore in left these three have made several errors. Also I feel smart pitching will beat them. Polks hitters are not as good as those high averages indicate and they can be pitched too. As for the game between Meigs, I hope Polk pulls it off but they will have to make all the routine plays and Bean will have to dig down and throw strikes and not get behind in the count.

Yes this sounds about Right! Meigs probably could not sleep last night knowing that they were finally going to be able to get there hands on them considerig all the post that have been posted about Polk county being for real this year! I look for the tigers to come out swinging the bats and playing excellent d-fense and Polk to be surprised at the pitching they are going to face!

Meigs wins both. The lack of a competitive schedule will hurt Polk vs Meigs and vs Central. Polk will lose both series.
