QUOTE(BigG @ Apr 10 2007 - 01:28 PM) 826434020That's not as bad as the Portugal vs. Netherlands world cup match! I think it was 16 yellow and 4 red cards in one game!

Those refs were ridiculously card-happy throughout the entire tournament. I believe they broke the record for most cards given in a World Cup. Just think of the USA-Italy game or the England-Portugal quarterfinal. It was frustrating to watch at times, to be quite honest. The refs seemed a little overly-enthusiastic about their jobs....

QUOTE(dead bear @ Apr 10 2007 - 07:46 AM) 826433800You can sub after a yellow. It's a relatively new rule that a yellow carded player has to leave the game at all. (Relatively meaning ten years or so).

A red card requires the team to finish the game short. Be that a straight red or a second yellow to the same player.

I'm aware of at least one team that finished a game with 8 players last year -- two soft reds and one hard red. Only one TSSAA suspension was issued after that game.

sorry to say but your wrong here, just last night we played, and one of our players received two yellows giving him his soft red, he didn't finish the game of course but we were able to sub. And he will be allowed to play in the next game. A soft red only suppends you for the remainder of that game.

That is correct. Same thing happened last night with Brandon Tarr. Soft red... had to come out of that game, and we could sub. He will not miss his next game (I know Catholic is really happy about that!)
