Jealous is the right word from the earlier post. As for the GP coach, he is a good man and good coach! period! As for the post from Baylor, I lost count after the fifith time as to how many on field trips the Baylor coach made to argue something. And there was no comment from the GP coaching staff about stalling, it came from the stands because i sat next to the person who yelled it. I was disappointed to see a fine program like Baylor and Coach Etter be such sore losers. Complained all game about EVERY call and anything that did not go their way!

Be careful ye who casts the first stone...no one is perfect.

QUOTE(scorecard10 @ Apr 12 2007 - 07:26 AM) 826435643I have been around baseball for near 30 years (give or take a few). I DO know what I am talking about when it comes to throwing too many pitches. 140+ pitches is tooooooooooo many tooooooo throw in 30 degree weather! Especially, a 17-18 yr old that is still growing. You are talking possible growth plate or rotator cuff damage. I know from experience that if it does not hurt now it will later on. The big league guys do not throw over 120+ pitches in a game. The college pitchers do not throw that many in a game. LOL to Darnell I hope that his arm will hold for him to be able to pitch in college.

Hey,

I am on your side. I also feel that serious damage can be done to the young pitchers arm and he is only being used by his coach.

QUOTE(hasbeen7 @ Apr 12 2007 - 10:37 AM) 826435820If I'm not mistaken in the Warrior Classic USJ had Goodpasture 8 to 3 going into the 6th with a pitcher that had thrown the whole game. Goodpasture scored 3 to make it 8 to 6. USJ stayed with the same pitcher in the 7th and Goodpasture took advantage of the situation to score and win the game. I believe USJ threw a freshman that game. Could be an interesting matchup deep in the post-season ??

I saw that game and came away with two thoughts. One, USJ just gave that win away. Nothing bad about their pitcher, he was great, but he was tired and needed pulling. The second thought, was the Goodpasture is a dangerous team with some good sticks, and given half a chance, they can certainly come back and pull out a win.

Oh by the way, they do make some obnoxious noise in the dugout. It takes away from what the team could be.
