Warren County Vs. Livingston Academy

Pretty much to sum it up: Fast paced physical play, close game until a late goal put it away for Warren, missed opportunities including a blocked PK, excessive trash talking (fans included), couple of fights, three red cards, tons of yellows, and almost a bench clearing brawl broken up by the coaches and refs restraining the players followed by a rock show right beside the field. It got pretty ridiculous. But it just doesn't get much more exciting than that. Anyone there? Thoughts on this game?

This is ridiculous if true. I was not at the game last night as I had been out of town all week and had too much to do at home. We have always had a good relationship with Livingston Academy and I hope that we can continue to have one at least with the girls. This is regretable and I am sorry that this kind of thing could possibly happen. Who got the red cards and what were they for?

The red cards were all for LA. The second half was all desperation for them considering they were down 2-0 at half. After pulling it closer, Warren put it away, which led to frustration. Then with like 5 minutes left, two players got reds after a fight broke out in the Warren Co. box. Then after the game another player got a red during the ridiculous mess that almost turned into a brawl. I'm not saying Warren Co. had nothing to do with it though. They were pretty much equally involved.

I don't understand how a "fight" could break out and only the players from one team get a red card. Unless the Livingston Academy players were fighting each other. Anyway, sorry this all happened.

5 Red cards. Three Livingston #2,20,8 two for Warren Co. 20,11

It was a Physical Game that got out of control. The ref (Center) never got it. Player talking trash kicking ball away. This is the first incident for Livingston, I can not speak for Warren Co. but I dont think anything likr this happened under Kieth. Both teams will be hurt with players sitting out next games. Warren Co. plays Blackman and Livingston plays Station Camp. Niether team benifited from this game. Yes the half time concert was ridicous. LA will be thinking missed opprotunites and Warren why miss up our chance in the district.

QUOTE(BigG @ Apr 22 2007 - 07:12 AM) 826442735[/snapback]?? Never heard of a half time concert at a soccer game. Was it a school band kind of thing?

we have a local band in warren count who played 1 song at half time then put on a show for the seniors after the game was over. It sounded bad because it was outside for anyone who knows anything about sound equipment. Check them out though they are very talented /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
