Does anyone know of any assistant positions open in the Knoxville or Tri Cities area? Just found out that I will be moving. I have coached both the offensive and defensive line. I also was an assistant wrestling coach and we have won 7 straight individual and 6 straight dual state championships in GA.

Sequoyah had an ad in the News Sentinel looking for an offensive line coach, according to the Sequoyah thread. Check on the 1A-3A thread for more details under Sequoyah.

Jefferson County is looking for a couple of assistant coaches - don't know exactly what position they are looking for.

Do a web search for each of county educational web sites in the area. Openings are posted on these sites and it will give a better lay of the land for teaching/coaching. It you like a particular school, go on the school web site from the links available from the county educational web. You can generally find the AD or HC on the school site to send e-mail questionnaire request of coaching availability.

This link might be more helpful then looking up all the counties individually.

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
