QUOTE(soccerfreak98765 @ Jun 13 2007 - 03:35 PM) 826474676[/snapback]congrats to jimmy and T.J. they both deserve it. does anybody know when the mid-state list form the tennessean is comin out.

I agree. How can they have 2 players from a team that did not win more than 3 games on the first team? There are many players that deserve the recognition, but in an attempt to have equal representation from all county schools this thing is

a freakin joke. They have players on this list that are good kids, but do not deserve this type of recognition. Hendersonville/JP2 were the only teams that won the right to go to the state tourney, but GHS has 11 players on the list, they did not get out of their district. TJ/Jimmy deserve their accolades, goalie was probably the right selection. Offensive MVP is a stretch and defensive mvp is not the best defender, TJ was the best, or second best defender in the county.

I asked the question to the sports editor of the news examiner how he could justify the teams..... Answer, to quote Cecil Joyce " The teams are not made up of the best players in the county.... They are made up from the best players from each team and each team gets representation." Hendersonville and JPII would take up all of first team and second team with the exceptions of Austin White and Kuhn. It is still ridiculous that Grant Wood did not make a team when he should have been first team.... Ryan Maynard could have been a candidate for defensive player of the year and only made second team. With TJ being player of the year (rightfully so) Chris Mann should have and is Defensive Player of the Year. Everyone, you must take these teams with a grain of salt.
