58Indians22
I received an email from the Jackson-Madison Co. School System about a week ago seeking applicants for the South Side High School head football coaching position. I have looked in The Jackson Sun and have seen nothing about Coach Hayes leaving. Is Coach Hayes still at South Side or has he left or retired?
hawkpower
Coach Hayes is still there the only thing coach Hayes retired from is teaching he will no longer be a teacher he will just coach the football team. When the day does eventually come that coach Hayes retires from coaching I believe that they already have it set that the offensive coordinator Coach Sterling will take over. If not maybe his son he just brought over from Huntingdon. Maybe not I'm just saying in my opinion they have one or two coaches i probably would expect to take the job the day coach Hayes retires. ReitzFan
The job posting for the South Side postion was a mear formality as Coach Hayes is still the coach. He resigned as a teacher at the end of the last school year. They had to advertise the position as he is no longer a faculty member. The posting was a mear formality only.
