11-AAA Quad Match at Franklin - Thurs., Sept. 20

4:00 PM - Franklin vs Hillwood and Independence vs Overton

5:30 PM - Franklin vs Independence and Hillwood vs Overton

 

I assume that the key FHS/IHS match will be at 5:30, but don't know for sure.

 

The current standings in District 11-AAA that include last night's (Wed., Sept. 19) matches at Brentwood are:

 

1 Brentwood.........9-1

2 Centennial.........7-3

3 Ravenwood........7-3

4 Franklin.............5-3

5 Independence....4-4

6 Hillsboro............3-7

7 Overton.............1-7

8 Hillwood.............0-8

 

Note that I have Centennial at #2 over Ravenwood based on Centennial's win over #1 Brentwood as these teams have split both matches that were head-to-head.

 

After tonight's action, there will be 4 matches remaining for each team in district play. Please check your favorite team's schedule on their inside page for the key matches.

KC, you're right this is one of the (if not THE) toughest district in the state. Any one of the top 5 teams in 11AAA could win at State but only 2 can even make it out of the District. The last 3 are not terribly strong but not awful either, just not the same skill level...they are part of Metro Nashville schools and don't have the club participation of the players in the top 5.

I received an email with the following results from Franklin:

 

Independence over Overton 3-0

Franklin over Hillwood 3-0

 

Independence over Franklin 3-1

Hillwood over Overton 3-2

There are 4 district matches remaining for the teams which will determine the final seeding for the district tournament. It's going to be a real dog fight for the top five teams.
