No. Cut blocks are allowed by lineman, and only in the tackle box.

 

Often you will see backs cut DEs, but that is illegal and heck but refs wont call it.

Only players who are on the line and in the free block zone may block below the waist. The free block zone for 11 man football is 3 yards on each side of the ball and 4 yards wide on each side of the line. The free block zone only exists while the ball is in the zone. This is according to NFHS rules.

They're in pretty bad shape anyway. I think this is their only shot at a win. I hate it for the kids.

Many teams do it on" purpose" for this reason. I could name a few but wont.some teams never do it from good sportsmanship
