I doubt the Cascade kids are looking ahead at Jo Byrns as much as the fans and parents are. Having said that I think Cascade will get a look at their toughest challenge in the opposing backfield with the Bledsoe kid for NC. The Mastin boy from Eagleville has some talent but zero heart and could care less about his team, which is typically Eagle Football nowadays.

Cascade 24

Nashville Christian 7

Cascade11 do you think Nashville Christian can rebound and give ya'll a good game. But I'm still going for ya'll.

The way I'm looking at is WHH and Jo Byrns beat them back to back. Now Cascade has them friday night, then we have them the next week. You can say I'm asking if ya'll are going to soften them up more before we play them .

Go............. get her gone /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Cascade wins this one... but it won't be as easy as last Friday's game.

Eagleville has as good a group of athletes as any school we have played this year, better than most them. They have size and speed but they are not playing as a team. I don't know if it is a coaching problem or just what you get when your team is made up of Riverdale transfers. Whatever the problem is they could still put it together and spoil somebody's playoff plans.

Nashville Christian presents a different set of problems... they are a "team" and have some good athletes. This game will be played in Nashville, in their house. If the Champions come out fired up like they did last Friday night they will win "big"... but if they are not focused on NCS and are looking ahead to Jo Byrns they could get beat.

I've got the regional standings updated on our website. If you click on my signature then you can go to the [standings] tab to see where your team is at now!

/popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> Cascade11 you started one also I did. Now people will have two places to go and give their views on this matter of Cascade and Nashvill Christian. Cascade wins this one by 24.

Read thenone I started.........

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
