7AAA Girls Basketball

Lebanon has now beat White County 5 in a row and it is apparent that White County, being small as they are, just doesn't match up well with Lebanon's height in the post. Lebanon has trouble winning games that get above 40 points because they just aren't that productive on the offensive end of the floor, but if they can keep the score down they have a chance. They have yet to beat one of the top 3 in 7-AAA, but they will get two more chances before the tournament ends. One other note: irregardless is not a word. Simply use the word regardless and drop the "ir" and you will still be saying the same thing.

Badhat your English lesson is acknowledged and your background is noted.

For those schools looking at their programs for the next three to four years, very quietly has a group of freshman made an impact this year in a lot of 7AAA programs and it looks as if next year may be the same. Cookeville has two freshman guards that according to Jimbo, are quick as a hickup. Siegel has a great freshman prospect guard along with a bevy of freshman players that got some experience this year, Lebanon Highschool won the 7AAA Freshman Tournament and looks as if they will make an impact in retooling, Riverdale has a freshman guard that will make an impact along with maybe others?Middle School feeder schools are generlly leading their districts in that Siegel and Central in the Boro have been 1-2 in their Districts along with other 7AAA feeder schools looking to help the District schools. The next few years look promising. What about yours?

Big props to the Lady Stars for beating a very tried and persistant Warren County last night. They held off till the fourth quarter and then put them away. Warren County has a Middle school that is pretty good, BUT they also have 5 K-8 elementary schools as well. That would give you the indication that we have quite a few to choose from. Not the case! The football, baseball, soccer teams can have the county kids play and goto their respected elementary schools, BUT in basketball you have to go to the middle school to play. It would be interesting if we could take the best 8th, 7th, and 6th graders in the COUNTY and see what we looked like then. This sets us back a couple of years in chemistry. I have been saying this for six years now, I believe. Nothing new.

im going to agree with you on it would be great to have a true feeder school but as far as it setting you back i am gonna disagree with you as all the schools in murfreesboro pull from several different schools rather it be a K-8 or a true middle school so we are going through the same thing as you EXCEPT some kids you dont know if you will get to keep or if they decide to go to another school

20, Warren County really needs nothing to be ashamed about in thursday nites game. For some reason, the players seemed more focused, played hard but also played under control(Different) and since the last time they played against Siegel, played with a true post game and the Hall girl played very well and was fed the ball (14 points). The thing that was missing was they still played the guard offense and seemed to have little direction on getting the ball to the post but when they did, she scored. They were more focused and if the right combination of guard post offense was present, they had a chance to win. What was interesting was the WC fans sat almost in disbelief as to the closeness of the game after the third quarter. The comment on this thread about a disbelief that Bowman and Frazier did not make the All District Team is very well taken but how about Hall. Where has she been all year? As far as recognition, it got down to wins by the team as to recognition. B and F as players are good and I would bet they are great students.

RD, you are correct but to go to another school, a player would have to move where they live. And also, the transfer rule has been changed by the TSSAA and players and parents need to be careful of the practice. The information has been on this thread the past month.

not true...there are some schools in this county that you can get an exemption to...also the TSSAA doesnt care what school you are zoned for they only care about what school u play a sport for and then where you go after that ...as far as the zone stuff they dont care

OK, I thought the point was about playing sports at Warren. TSSAA has changed the rules in transferring but it has to do with athletics.

So how does district 8 seedings come out?

It looks like:

Shelbyville

Lawrence

Franklin

Lincoln

District 7 is not that clear even after tomorrows games.

The only seed that is favored is Cookeville. The rest are too close to call.

The "swami" sees tonights games going as follows : Cookeville will matchup size wise to Lebanon and win this game on the bluedevilettes home court by 11. Riverdale will defeat Siegel ina hard fought contest by 5. The swami has spoken !!

Lebanon hung in with Cookeville at home last week, but if Cookeville stays out of foul problems they should win by 15 or more. Siegel seems to have Riverdale's number right now, so I'll go with Siegel by 3. The BadHat is in the ring.

    • A little confused.  What charter/prep schools made it to state in Baseball?
    • Fortuitously encountering Clint amidst the ambience of Goodyear this morning sparked an impromptu yet intellectually stimulating conversation, wherein we engaged in a rigorous assessment of prospective candidates for the esteemed role of head football coach. Our discourse, characterized by its spontaneity and depth, led to the formulation of astute observations and discerning judgments regarding the suitability of various individuals for this pivotal position. Allow me to elucidate the fruits of our collaborative contemplation: This commentary endeavors to offer a discerning articulation of my subjective viewpoint, emphasizing a conscientious commitment to maintaining impartiality and refraining from any semblance of derogation directed towards individuals.  Those who possess meritorious qualifications for the esteemed head coaching role, delineated without hierarchical precedence, include: Rennard Woodmore, an esteemed alumnus of the Yellow Jackets, presents a magnificent pedigree, having held prominent positions in head coaching capacities across various regions. His pivotal role as a coordinator for teams contending for state championships further enhances his stature in the realm of football leadership. Kyle Gregory, erstwhile adorned in the resplendent gold insignia, though lacking direct head coaching experience, brings to the fore his invaluable insights garnered as a coordinator for esteemed teams, showcasing an acute understanding of the requisites for triumph whilst attired in the esteemed purple and gold regalia. Steven Jackson, whose contributions transcended mere clipboard duties under the tutelage of Kevin Creasy, emerges as an exceptional candidate for Trousdale County. His prior tenure and triumphs as an assistant coach underscore his suitability for the role. The sole drawback lies in his lack of affiliation with Trousdale County as an alumnus. Brandon Eden's extensive tenure within the chronicles of Trousdale County football, spanning a significant portion of its State Championships, coupled with his successful stints as a coordinator across diverse locales, underscores his candidacy despite a dearth of direct head coaching experience at the high school level. Davy Cothron, while beset by a modest playing career, has emerged as a luminary in offensive strategy, drawing parallels to the transformative appointment of Barker in 2015, thereby warranting consideration for his proven acumen in this realm. Joshua Hackett, notwithstanding his non-alumnus status, has left an indelible imprint across Middle Tennessee, distinguished by his adept curation of formidable defensive units as a coordinator at Watertown, albeit without direct head coaching experience. Kevin Creasy, the epitome of coaching prowess, merits an offer irrespective of his current inclinations, his unparalleled capacity to secure victories transcending geographical and institutional bounds, potentially extending to a role as Director of Schools should it align with his aspirations. Conversely, individuals who have not demonstrably earned the mantle of head coaching, enumerated without sequential precedence, encompass: Brad Waggoner David Barker Paul Pitts Jeremy Pruitt Clint Satterfield Robbie Atwood Wesley Satterfield Ben Johnson BJ West Whom do you all deem most fitting to assume the mantle of the next coach, and what rationale informs your choice? Conversely, whom do you perceive as ill-suited for the role, and what underpins your reasoning for their exclusion?
    • He's a Clinton fan.  But I wouldn't admit that either.
    • Their any schedule out their for team camp?
    • This sums it all up to perfection.
