I'm sure the 'Castle will rank high.

Tennesse High definantly has one of the Best Stadiums in the South East United States. Around here Greeneville High School has one of the Best Gameday atmospheres around. I'm bias but I think others will agree. The Morristown turf is two toned, and kinda looks bad. Greeneville will also receive a facelift after this year. New Turf and new press box.

Stone Castle

Death Valley

Brown-Childress Stadium

J Fred Johnson Stadium

A great atmosphere (loud crowd, close game) can make it much better.

Oops! I'm not a player. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

What was I thinking...players only read this site on Saturday morning and just to see their name. And very few at that. Anyway, the only thing I don't like about the Castle being #1 is their endzones. Their field is superior but the endzones bite. Meanwhile DB's field used to be good except for having the worst endzones in the world. If they didn't have to accomidate Fun Fest then the visitor section would probably be premo. Souths field is good but not as good as Bristol's. The endzones however are textbook...nice and deep with no obsticles. I have to say I like North's field as well as South's and half of their stadium is great. I don't like Elizabethton at all. Greenvilles field was good. The stadium was good but a bit clostrophobic. And that rock! I guess that is a tradition.

I think most would agree with TN High having the best all around, stadium+atmosphere. South's field looked excellent in the South/Topper game but I'm thinking it looks like scorched earth after lsat Friday nights outburst against East /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> It would stand maybe 2nd behind THS in just stadium. JFred suffers for being a multi-use facility, I dream of having separate football/baseball facilities. The field is suffering from lack of rain and that may be good since the endzones have always been a negative when it rains. The new turf next year should be great. The complaint from visitors has always been the lack of potties /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> But what it lacks in beauty (she is over70 you know) it makes up for in atmosphere when you add the crowd and the 400+ member band. It has been a while since I was at North but what I remember they had excellent field and stadim. The last time I was in JC at Steve Spurrier field it was very dark and dank but they have renovated so it may have improved. And the bathroom was near the concession area I think. I think they would have really benefited by having ETSU bring back football. I would think Spurrier would drop a few bucks down to have a field bearing his name be the class of the area.

I would put this areas facilities up against almost any though as far as just pure atmosphere on a Friday night.

The turf looks dull due to the lighting. The new lights go up next year and will make a big difference.

I'd vote for McMinn Co. having a good stadium, good turf, and a good pre-game with the horse.

The most picturesque views are to be had at Heritage. It's nestled in the foothills and depending on the time of year you start your game, you can see some beautiful views of God's Country (Blount Co.)

Ones I hate .... almost all of the fields that have "baby" goalposts. What's up with that?

I agree with you about McMinn. Nice stadium and turf. The view at Heritage is great, but I hate them and WB for having everyone on one side. Put some temporary bleachers on the far side for the band and the rest of us will stand with them.

GO Owls

Believe me, all us WB fans want you Owls on the other side, too.

The smell really gets to us! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (Just kidding!)

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
