No, but he's lived in Halls the majority of his life and I imagine has played more football games in a Halls uniform then he ever will in maryville uniform.

Kids move all the time.

TJ Franklin played for Maryville youth leagues and Maryville Middle until he got in high school then he went to Catholic

Kenneth Click played for Maryville as a freshman then transfered to Heritage. He was good enough to go Carson Newman

Benny Fuller started out at Maryville then transfered to Alcoa

TJ Brock played his 1st 3 years at Maryville then transfered to Sweetwater. TJ was an all state player at Maryville.

Kelby Crain started out at Maryville then transfered to William Blount

PK Sparks played for Maryville Middle then went to Alcoa. He made the play that beat Maryville in 2000.

Chris Franklin started out at Maryville then transfered to Heritage. He helped Heritage beat Maryville in 1999 and 2000.

In basketball Travis Stinnet went to Maryville City Schools then went to Alcoa High School.

Kids come and they go. Maryville gains some and they lose some. People are going to have to get over the fact that Brent Burnett,Aaron Douglas and Tyler Clendenen grew up in Knoxville then their families moved to Maryville.

Thank you for the run down. One Central fan mentioned that Burnette was a former Red Devil and you give the history of every kid no longer playing for Maryville. Is this a sore subject for you Ron? I think red and black was just making a reference that many of Burnette's former teammates are Red Devils. Not that parents shouldn't move.

I did not know that Brent Burnette moved to Maryville. His neighbor in Halls says that he still lives in Halls. I wonder if the Burnett's moved to Maryville and kept their house in Halls.

Maybe CZAR could figure all of this out for us?

fairplay2121 you know that this is a sore subject for REBELRON. He is in denial about Maryvilles team being so succesful with just Maryville players. If this is not true and he knows the history of all these players that have transfered out of Maryville, then he should know all of the players that have transfered in to Maryville.but not moved to Maryville, just paid tuition so they would not have to move into the Maryville school zone.

Just a little tidbit..Burnette's do have a house in Maryville, it's actually on the other side of Maryville relatively speaking if you're looking at it as someone from Halls. Doesn't matter, he wanted to be there or the parents did, who cares? Can't change it now. Doesn't Halls have some kids who moved in or transfered?

Anyways, on to Lenoir City since that is the opponent Friday night. Halls should take this one as long as they don't play to their opponents abilities which seems to be a trend with this football team. Hope to see Turner get his wheels on straight. The kid has the tallent to get it out to his WRs, he's just in a slump for whatever reason. I'm sure the coaches will find some ways to get the kids confidence back if that's the problem. See you all friday night.

How will all this rain change game plans for tom night, or will it? Is the field in any better shape for dealing with a lot of rain that they are saying will hit us over the next 24 hours? Either way I see the Devils winning this one on Sr. night, hopefully get the starters out early but with the weather it could stay a close game. As far as Burnette lets start talking about that after Friday win. One game at a time.
