Celticsfan
I have seen Collinwood and Cornersville both play in play days. They are very similar. Both teams are up-tempo, perimeter oriented teams, who love to jack the three. The Trojans have the advantage with Thompson inside if they choose to go to him instead of keeping him on the high post. thenomad
Predictions: Tuesday night Cully-Marshall CO. Cornersville-Collinwood C.A- MTCS Sante fairview Culleoka beats MCHS by 3 Collinwood trounces Cornersville C.A. beats MTCS by double digits Not sure on Santa Fe/Fairview Culleoka has been in some tight games lately, winning 2 of 3. Richland and Moore Co. still knocking off teams they are supposed to beat. It will be a slugfest!
girlbythewhirlpool
/flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Culleoka has been playing tough teams from larger schools- Hazel Green, Alabama (6A), Ravenwood (3A), and Marshall County (2A). Their only loss has been to Ravenwood, and then only by 4. They are on their game so far. Chad Stevens has improved drastically, as has James Upshaw, who should be seeing a lot of action this season. CA is not known for it's big guys and i forgot their center's name but by what i have heard, he can be pushed around real easy and can't really finish his lay ups. Will he be able to compete with the other big man of the district? I think not. Preston from Mt. P will dominate when ever they play each other. But enough about that... I agree with your prediction that cully will win the district but maybe not hands down. Moore County will give them quite a good run and there should be some surprises along the road to state. This district will be very entertaining to watch. Good luck to all teams!
thenomad
With Culleoka on the road this weekend playing a strong AA team in Dyersburg, Richland is at Forrest thumping Eagleville and playing Forrest tonight. Richland wins by 13 points led by Ryan Brock's 22 points (5 3's). With the fire power of the Raider guards, they could present some matchup problems for some teams. I believe it will be a fight for the top spot between Culleoka, Moore Co., and Richland.

I know why Moore Co. and Cully are contenders but i'm not sure about Richland. Who are their starting 5?

I know why Moore Co. and Cully are contenders but i'm not sure about Richland. Who are their starting 5? The only things I know about Richland's team is what I see on the floor. They return all but one starter from a region team last season. The Raiders replaced the only senior with two wide bodies in the post. They have another kid who comes off the bench that works hard, is aggressive, and has decent talent. The guards can all shoot or penetrate. They, just like Culleoka and Moore Co., lost very few players from a team that played Culleoka to a one point game last season. Congrats to Culleoka on a big win over a AA school, Dyersburg. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> District 11A gettin' some respect!!
