Congrats to the Devils as well as their coaching staff, parents, and fans on a great season. Greeneville will win-out over East and Crockett and lay claim to being region 2-4A champion; their first such title in several years. As for the playoffs, Greeneville definitely has the ability to get to the quarter-finals. The 2nd round match-up between Greeneville and TN. High (assuming the Vikings take 2nd spot from region 1) will be a great game and the fact that the game will be at Burley will help the Devils. Assuming, however, that Su. South does not stumble between now and then, I do not see Greeneville getting to the semi-finals especially since the game will be up in Death Valley. (BTW, if South does lose to TN. High next week, then you are probably looking at a rematch with South at Burley in the 2nd round.)

It's unfortunate that if any team from this area makes it to the Semifinals this year, it will be in Maryville as long as Maryville keeps winning. I originally thought homefield would go to the team that is further east this year.This is how the TSSAA has it setup this year:

The road to Murfreesboro definitely goes through Maryville. It's hard to believe that it's been four years since they last lost a game. Red Bank, though, looks to be the strongest from region 4 this year and should be Maryville's quarter-final opponent.

well maryville is on a role lol...but u never know there cld be a big upset...like our basketball team last year we where doing awesome #1 in the state for awhile and then lost in the regionals by 2 points...so anythings possible and it can only take 1 little mistake...dont count anyone out...
