i think it's a shame that warren county gets to go to the lions bowl after tullahoma handed them a loss. tullahoma's freshman were not invited to the lions bowl after getting beat like a drum by columbia. i guess the powers that be assumed that tullahoma would get beat by warren county. no doubt that warren county has a good football team, but tullahoma was just a little better.

Warren Co. gets to go to the Lions Bowl because of the year (7-3) they had. They have wins over Coffee, White Co., Shelbyville, Riverdale, Soddy Daisy, Franklin Co., and Cumberland Co. Tullahoma played a heck of a game to beat them and love their offense and heart, but several key players was out for WC. If #12 WR/S and #1 QB/DB were playing it wouldn't have been even close.

So you hope Siegel can do what Riverdale could not. Beat Warren County.

im not gonna discuss freshman football which i know nothing about (this year atleast), all i can tell you is if you really want to see warren county get their butts handed to them by riverdale, just make sure you lock up that #4 seed (something our #8 team oakland could do in your region) and be at tomahawk stadium round 1 of the playoffs.

That's what this top is about "Freshmen Football". Just wanted to see what everyone thought about these fine freshmen teams. Your probably right about Riverdale beating Warren Co. in the first round of the playoffs. Got to give the Warrior nation credit, I thought after Rankin left it would be downhill, but Coach A has kept the winning tradition going. Be careful about comments towards WC they are and will continue to improve.

region 4 dominance over region 3 even on the freshman level (i hope lol)

Dominance? I guess Cookeville & Warren Co. should be shaking in there cleats! Cookeville will give Blackman all they want. WC scrimmaged siegel after the varsity teams before the season and done very well.

    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
