this is a message board about Riverdale vs. Warren County.

if you want to try to argue with people about gay things just to make your self confidence a little better go to another chat room.

this is a room to talk about riverdale and warren county

I know that, and I was just making a "snide" remark. You are the one who decided to challenge me on it. I know you Warriors are not used to losing anything, but you just lost a battle of wits with me and it tears your little warrior heart up inside. I am sorry. It is just too much fun when arguing with a teenager....it is so easy!!!

BTW, what do you mean by gay? Are you talking about happy? That is what that word means. Now, if you are wanting to make some sort of confession, that defintely is another message board entirely.

You are intimidated, and it is okay. You have bitten off much more than you can chew, and that is okay as well.

BTW I have forgotten more about football than you will ever know. Got that, little fella......

and let's see...what can I tell you about your program you didn't know......hmmm.....

In 1993, you suffered a 6-0 loss to Lebanon. It was the last time Riverdale was shut out in region play. You also were not region champs that year. Your starting QB that night, who was supposed to be so great, finished his career at Cumberland University with a losing record. What about your superstar QB Alvin Duke? Or, maybe the great Antron Peebles? Should I even mention Eric Locke?

How about my knowledge of your offensive sets or your defensive schemes, should that be my next post?

and what site did you find that off of?

If I were working off of a site, how could I have responded so quickly? Check the times small fry.....

BTW I was there and have been a student of the game of football for nearly 20 years......that's right, before you were even born. You are the one that keeps taking the attention away from the true nature of this thread......

Alvin Duke was a tailback who went on to Vanderbilt. He returned a punt for a touchdown against Alabama but had his career cut short due to injury.

Funny..... But you forgot to mention Fernando Bryant in that list of players...I do believe he is still playing in the NFL (detroit lions).

I don't know why you want to crack on Duke... he was only a two sport athlete at Vandy and now has a degree from there...man what bad luck!!!!

Don't forget about david coppins, believe he played O-line and also graduated from Vandy....

Sure there are plenty of players who haven't excelled after HS but is that always a bad thing?

I think I will take you up on that Limbaugh when we meet in the 3rd round. From what everyone says, you are a very good person.

If we are both fortunate enough to get there I look forward to it - Someone should be bringing some wings that night /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

Well just from a fans prospective, I will say that R'dale IS taking WC seriously.

If they are all that predictable though it will make for an easy game for the starters and the DC. Which would be nice for a change.

What exactly is the problem there in WC? I remember when they fielded some GREAT teams.

A few years ago WC had problems getting the boys out and playing.

The powers that be think there is no problem with any of the programs Especially Girls Basketball but that is for another thread. I think that Coach Madewell had done a ok job up to this point I think that he now needs to get some people around him that can help the program not just his buddies. But isn't that how it always has been? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
    • My outsider looking in perspective is Oliver Springs, Coalfield, Rockwood, and Harriman: fill out the top 4 good teams that beat up on the bottom and will all be in a good place to win in the 1st round with one team maybe making it farther. Midway: funnily enough in the middle an alright team that can beat the teams below them but not the top 4 misses the playoffs but still has a decent record. Oakdale, Greenback, Sunbright: round out the bottom each team has its problems and with a rough region and challenging non-conference records may not be pretty. Oakdale graduated lots of talent and experience, Greenback is in all sorts of internal turmoil with their new coach, and Sunbright small roster tough region not tons of Fb played. (Teams could be rearranged with other teams in their groups but this is how I see them finishing)
    • Kids quitting to focus on one sport could be a worry but multi-sport athletes transferring out would damage more than just football so I think the people who made this decision could find out they are going to get burned in multiple ways.
