I don't know much about Bolivar but Giles is pretty good but not great. I'll go with the underdog.

You are picking Cheatham to lose to Fayette Ware & Giles to lose to Bolivar & YOU ARE A CREEK WOOD FAN????? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

I can see that while your opinion is a good one and well respected that you don't have much faith in the region. Why so down????

Good luck to you guys against Trezevant this week. I saw the Bears up close in person in week zero against Maplewood. I then saw that they beat 6-3A #1 Seed Fayette Ware a few weeks ago. They are a dangerous opposition.

If Dyersburg is hosting the semifinal game again this postseason I'll probably make the trip out to West-TN to watch the Trojans play (likely David Lipscomb).

BC, WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO HAVE YOU AT J.C.SAWYERS STADIUM FOR THE QUATER-FINAL GAME SHOULD DHS ADVANCE. WE HAVE NOT KNOWN SINCE WEEK 6 WHICH TROJAN TEAM WILL SHOW UP. HIGH EXPECTIONS HAVE GROWN INTO SOUR GRAPES WITH COACH CHANGE=SYSTEM HES TEACHING DOES NOT SUIT THE HIGH LEVEL OF TALENT LEFT TO HIM. I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW THE YOUNG MEN WILL RESPOND DURING THE PLAYOFFS BUT THEY WILL NEVER QUIT PLAYING HARD. WE HAVE A MIXED BAG WITH SEVERAL TEAMS THAT COULD BE DL FOE. MITCHELL,SHEFFIELD,HAYWOOD,DYER COUNTY,DHS ALL COULD ADVANCE . DC REALLY LOOKS GOOD TO ME. SHOULD DC WIN THE STADIUM AT DYER COUNTY IS NEW AND A VERY GOOD PLACE TO WATCH FOOTBALL.ITS ONLY 9 MILES FROM DYERSBURG. ALL MY CHILDREN,GRANDS ARE DC ALUMNI SO I HAVE DEEP ROOTS WITH DC TOO. I FEAR THE BEARS WILL GIVE THE TROJANS A TEST THIS WEEK HAVING COME ALONG WAY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR. I DONT COMPARE SCORES TO DETERMINE EVALUATION TEAMS AS DIFFERENT THINGS HAPPEN EACH GAME THAT WE DONT KNOW . DL SEEMS TO BE THE CREAM OF THE CROP THO. I KNOW MCADAMS SCORES ONLY SO MANY POINTS THEN HOLDS OFF NOT TO RUN SCORES UP . 35PTS IS ABOUT HIS LIMIT DEPENDING ON SITUATIONS OF EACH GAME. HE PLAYS MANY PLAYERS EACH GAME FOR CERTAIN SITUATIONS/PLAYS SO PLENTY OF THE UNDERCLASSMEN PLAY A LOT FOR THEM DURING THE GAME. THATS HOW ONE BUILDS A GOOD PROGRAM YEAR IN YEAR OUT. I BELIEVE YOUR CUBS WIIL WIN FRIDAY NIGHT. FW LOOKS GOOD EARLY EVERY YEAR THEN FADE AWAY. REGION 6 HAS NOT SHOWN TOO MUCH TO ME THIS YEAR THO JSS IS THE BEST OF THE 4 REMAINING.

    • Who’s going to lead the pirates offense this year?
    • Pickett is good, may have a Mr. Football like season if he’s used correctly. One of the best teams Marion has fielded in a while. I think they go 12-1 and loose to ER.  ER has better players at almost every position. If they play discipline this year, they win soundly. If they don’t though…Marion could sneak away with it.
    • I’m betting the house on the Indians. Pickett and Co will be the only team to challenge the Indians in the East. Huntingdon can in the West. I think Brooks goes 15-0 and has the first perfect season and state championship in ER history.
    • Sounds like a great opportunity has opened up for the football team.  With the head coach of the diamond rebels making it official and quitting this week, there should be some room for the gridiron guys to benefit. I assume the administration won’t continue paying six figures to two former coach that quit to continue teaching drivers Ed. Thats pretty good money that could be redirected toward the football program. Also, with the more recent policies of pushing kids to only play one sport, abolishing the baseball program altogether would help on Friday nights in the fall. There is some decent speed on that baseball team that should’ve been playing on Fridays IMO. I’m not sure if anybody would really miss that baseball program anyway with it being across town from the school. The liability of letting players actually use the facilities could also be mitigated with closing the program. That liability seems to be a really big issue for 825. Anyway, it seems like a great opportunity is available.
    • Yeah, I read about their spring blue/gray scrimmage after I typed that.   Sounds like a real mess over there.  I just hate that for 'em.  Haw
