Indeed excellent pick-ups for the Mocs. I have really been impressed by how well Coach Bono has recruited the South recently and it appears that he is continuing to get some of the big names out of the South. He keeps this up and the depth in that room is going to be very, very good. As a formeer UTC coach likes to say "steel sharpens steel."

Glad to have them. Now when are you GA folks going to pressure some of your colleges to start an NCAA program? The south desperatly needs more college wrestling programs, a big bowwave of highschool wrestlers from all across the south, notably GA and FL are graduating with few college options and with the exception of a couple of schools in TN, NC, and SC , none in the south.

From what I hear.....should be in the next two years at Kennesaw State.

 

Although....Georgia Tech is 178 male athletes the wrong way on Title IX.....meaning they need to add some male sports and it would make sense for them with the ACC having several strong teams already.

Your right , GA tech is the place to start. Rattle some of those money trees down there and turn up the heat on the school adminstration. In a few years they could have a decent program anchored by mostly local recruits.

The previous AD at Tech wouldn't even talk with us......even when offered that all the scholarships would be covered. Hopefully we'll make some headway with the new guy.

Keep us posted and include us in any letter writing or petition activities. To all of the surrounding states advantage to see the sport grow at the collegiate level in the south.
