One lady from Union County fainted when one of the officials called a foul and had to be carried down from the bleachers on a stretcher and taken away by ambulance, and it was a lady from Union County! Move on! GP one one and Rutledge won one. We've beaten the gym issue and tax issue to death, how about the Vols? Fulmer? Price of eggs in Newport?

If Union County can win tomorrow at Claiborne that would be 3 straight after the embarrassing week they had against Claiborne and GP two weeks ago. Bigger question is will the lack of senior leadership be the downfall of Gatlingburg? Right now, one has to think the way Cumberland Gap plays that they are in control of the district championship!

No thinking. CG is in control of the district. GP is in 2nd with 2 district losses. Will take a lot of work for anyone to catch them before tourneys. And yes GP has alot of wrinkles to iron out between now and then. Getting a little late in the season for leadership problems.

Powell Valley and Forge Ridge high schools consolidated into Cumberland Gap and yes, they built a new school. Powell Valley's boys team was tough back in the 90's when Dennis Cline was head coach. Cumberland Gap looks to be building a pretty solid program, too---both boys and girls.

 

And yes, Forge Ridge was a VERY small school---especially the gym!

Union County won at GP for the first time in over a decade. From what I understand, Claiborne beat Cumberland Gap. If thats the case, looks like the district is wide open again. Crazy thing is had Union County not choked at home against Claiborne, they would be tied for first place. Looks like a big night of basketball in the district this Friday!

BOXN1, Rutledge beat Pigeon Forge AGAIN? You're kidding! I know they won on PF's home court, but you mean the "Forge" lost on the Pioneer floor too? Must have been some game! Bet the officials were horrible and missed a ton of calls for that to happen. You are correct. District Tournament time will be interesting this round!
