Whitwell High School is hosting a Thnaksgiving Classic on Friday 23rd and Saturday the 24th. The games are as follows(all times Central)

4:30 Sequatchie co vs Boyd Buchanan(boys)

6:00 Whitwell vs Grace Baptist (girls)

7:30 Whitwell vs Ridgeland (boys)

 

Saturday

 

3:00 Grace vs Franklin Co(girls)

4:30 Sequatchie vs Ridgeland(boys)

6:00 Whitwell vs Boyd Buch (girls)

7:30 Whitwell vs Boyd Buch (boys)

Looks like all the teams will be competitive.....should be two good days of basketball

Sequatchie 68-47 over Boyd-Buchanan. 35-17 at the half, 51-27 after 3. Got it to around 30 early in the fourth, played backups after that. 10 players scored, the team really moved the ball well and kept turnovers to a minimum until late in the game. Shot 50 percent from the floor, just under that on 3's. Whitwell was losing to Ridgeland GA by around 7 or 9 at the half, I thought was outhustling them and was making a good amount of shots. Ridgeland is very athletic but looked out of control at times. Adarius Bowman's brother had a nice dunk, a "poster shot" over a Whitwell player, credit Whitwell for not getting rattled by it and realizing it's just another two points.

Whitwell will surprise many teams in the district this year, they will be very tough.
