Dyer County won by 16...forgot final score. They ran pretty slow first half, but came out blazing the second half.

what a great game tonight. thomas cooper had a pretty good game from what i heard on the radio.

 

anyone wanna try to explain the scuffle that happened in the 2nd half where someone was thrown out and dyersburg administrators came out of the crowd to sit a kid down? i wasnt there, so fill me in please:)

Guy from D'burg purposedly elbowed player MORE than once, words were said,Dyer County's player had enough and retaliated and was thrown out. Cops had to keep D'burg's student section back because they were coming out of the stands on the court. Then their principal decided to come out on the court and put in his 2 cents, who KNOWS why. Tell you the truth I just wish they would just STOP playing each other at this point. This was not Dyer County's best game...but it is a WIN!

Don't know WHAT happened after the game ...kids fighting,a girl bleeding, cops everywhere...I was just ready to GO HOME.

Really nothing more than kids being kids. Mclin connected with Harsten with an elbow to the head. (He had the ball) Vic then said something to Kim that he took exception to, and Kim took a swing at Victor. Not sure if it landed, if did wasn't much. The refs stepped in and separted them and ejected Kim (rightly so). Some Dyersburg students then spilled out on the floor and some of the admin ushered them back into the stands. No big deal that I could see.

oh you did miss the chant of the night after DC went on about a 16 point run...

JUST LIKE FOOTBALL...priceless. Can't wait to travel there. Nothing like a good rivalry.

Choctaw player swung at Trojan player. He received a tech and was ejected. DHS principals assisted in restoring order on the court. Some man in orange and a cop stood in front of Trojan students like they were the problem when the action was on the other end of the floor.

Sorry dude I was sitting straight across w/J. Blake's grandmother...none of DC's FANS rushed the court. Restoring ORDER ON THE COURT.....that's laughable.

It was a physical game and one DC player retaliated. I thought there was contact from the dyersburg player with an elbow once, but DC was definatly playing more physical. As for the kid being ejected, It doesn't matter what caused it, if you swing at a kid in a game, your going to be ejected, I thought DC fans could have shown more class then to send the ejected player to the locker room with a standing ovation though. Someone told me that the Dyersburg principals came into the stands because the DC student section was wanting a fight, and dyersburg didn't look like backing down. I thought the pricipals did what they should have done, The Dburg prinipal look like he chewed out one of our players for pushing after the fight. No clue as to what he said to the ref. The officiating crew did not perform well on my opinion on both sides. I believe both sides were denied a technical during the second half. DC hass lots of talent and should do well. Dburg has a little more work to do, but the potential is there. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, the girls game was one of the best games Ive seen for a long time. Congrats to the lady Trojans and Choctaws.
