Dyer County pulled a win out. Pathetic Refs started to let the boys actually play in the first few minutes of the second half but went back to poor calls on the court. I dont see how a Milan baseball coach is allowed to ref basketball games, especially since Dyersburg was involved. This should be a wake up call for Dyer County, because if they think it will be easy getting back to state, they will need to play better with Dyersburgs old players on their team.

Sorry dude I was sitting straight across w/J. Blake's grandmother...none of DC's FANS rushed the court. Restoring ORDER ON THE COURT.....that's laughable.

I did not say DC fans rushed the court. I said the problem was on the other end of the court, where all of the players were. That is where the swing took place. And yes the principals did assist in restoring order on the court by grabbing a Trojan player that was about to lose his cool and escorting him to the bench where he belonged. What is laughable about that?

It was a physical game and one DC player retaliated. I thought there was contact from the dyersburg player with an elbow once, but DC was definatly playing more physical. As for the kid being ejected, It doesn't matter what caused it, if you swing at a kid in a game, your going to be ejected, I thought DC fans could have shown more class then to send the ejected player to the locker room with a standing ovation though. Someone told me that the Dyersburg principals came into the stands because the DC student section was wanting a fight, and dyersburg didn't look like backing down. I thought the pricipals did what they should have done, The Dburg prinipal look like he chewed out one of our players for pushing after the fight. No clue as to what he said to the ref. The officiating crew did not perform well on my opinion on both sides. I believe both sides were denied a technical during the second half. DC hass lots of talent and should do well. Dburg has a little more work to do, but the potential is there. ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, the girls game was one of the best games Ive seen for a long time. Congrats to the lady Trojans and Choctaws.

I agree. The referees were inconsistent at best and did not keep the game under control. They missed many calls both ways. I know its easy when your in the stands, but better refs do exist.

You are correct ANY player should be ejected for fighting. UH....he was given a ovation for playing a DARN good game other than the incident. McLin shoved a guy at the start of the game...nothing happened...but, you come looking for it chances are your gonna get it 9 out of 10 times I don't care who you are playing. DC didn't play their best game...but OBVIOUSLY DYER COUNTY plays just FINE with D''burgs OLD players...OLD PLAYERS is right ,they are Choctaws now....THEY ACTUALLY get to PLAY.

    • Wow, that really stinks. I hate that for you guys.
    • Not sure what you mean? 40 TOTAL? Macon is a good team no doubt, but I believe they've only scored 35 total points against Uppeeman the last two years, and that's over three games.
    • This scenario resonates with the dynamics observed in my hometown of Hartsville. The undue influence of politics on high school sports remains a pervasive issue, detracting from the integrity of athletic programs.  The proliferation of individuals driven by a thirst for power inevitably precipitates the downfall of any program. It appears that we are currently grappling with similar challenges akin to those faced by Greenback. Please accept my condolences for your ordeal.
    • From what we are hearing on the reservation we will be lucky to beat sunbright. And trust me I am not throwing stones at them because they play their hearts out. It’s a tuff game every year, just like Oakdale but when you have small numbers that’s what you get. And then you add in that you loose two top linemen and the starting qb!!!! Along with a running back!  We are in deep trouble.
    • The coach's departure ensued due to the absence of backing from the board members, compounded by the unsettling revelation that one board member persistently surveilled him, verging on conduct akin to harassment. Furthermore, it appears that meeting the expectations of this community remains an unattainable feat, as even a hypothetical scenario of clinching five consecutive state championships would likely not suffice to quell discontent. The current situation is fraught with complications, primarily stemming from applicants for the position who have cultivated relationships with board members known to have opposed the former coach.
