Titans Wildcard Loss

Recommended Posts

Trying to convert Vince into a NFL QB instead of just letting him do his thing. I hate to say it but as a die hard Titans fan, I get VERY nervous every time Vince throws the ball.

Just look at Gerard and what he's done for the Jags this year. He's a first year starter and his decision making is outstanding. You either have it or you don't. Some can still learn it in a few years but Vince reminds me of a scared rabbit. Decisions are usually panic ones at best except for the first drive of every single game this year. I'm convinced that the first drive is "mandated" by the coaches where he cannot stray from the script just to give him some confidence. Yet, it is usually the best he does the whole game. It makes you wonder if he is the type that has to be bottle fed till he's six years old.

As we have discussed many times, the Wundrlic is just one of many tests that attempt to offer indicators how a candidate will perform on the job. The exam attempts to see how well you assemble and assimilate answers to rapid questions in a timed session. Some people do well in those scenarios, some do not. I personally believe that it is more indicative of the person's history in taking tests of this sort than necessarily how smart they are.

That being said, I would look more favorably at a player with a higher score than a dramatically lower score.

Low scores, per se, do not disqualify someone. Dan Marino scored low. A former QB from Harvard (I believe a third stringer for the Rams) aced the exam. Just like workout wonders who dazzle scouts with shuttle runs, forty times, and reps on the bench press, you can find someone who can excell during this type of exam.

You still have to have heart. You still have to have guts. You still have to be able to play football.

That is why a Ryan Grant for the Packers is making noise in the NFL, and Cedrick Benson may be on his way out.

Well said and I agree have to have heart. Some work harder than others and that brings them to the top. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Dyersburg is going to be good, really good. As mentioned, they have a lot of talent on the way and the trio of Chelby, Joya, and KayKay will only be better with a full season together under their belt. To me, playing in Murfreesboro two consecutive postseasons will only serve to make them more dangerous if/when they stand among the final eight teams this March. Experience, good or bad, always makes you better. And not only do they have experience, they know how to win there. Schedules are coming together for all of the teams and I am excited about what I am seeing on the preliminary drafts on Dyersburg’s schedule. I know I am being a tease, but it’s simply not my place to announce what another school is doing. With that said, I won’t go into specifics. However, I am excited about renewed home and away contracts for the non-district portion of the calendar. I think west Tennessee will have a lot of interest as well.
    • What does everyone have in the final 8? In no particular order. 1. Eagleville 2. Gordonsville 3. Greenback 4. Oakdale 5. South Pitt/ East Robertson-- not sure 6. Richland 7. Halls 8. Union City
    • They struggled to field a team last year. I don’t see them being much better?
    • sx good two know thay didun't waint that entarr citty two see yeller/red......
    • Couldn’t agree more.. Tate is a special kinda player , but fortunately for us we get a best of 3 series. I think our pitching is better than last year when we made the trip to west tn. Should be a fun 2 or 3 games.
