Im not taking any thing away from him, im just tired of every one saying hes the best because they said the same thing last year and he didn't make top 6.Hes good but not the best theres alot of kids coming from harder houses where a 190 is a 220 at galaxy. And about junior gold let me check the list for kids qualified to go,o wait his names not on there but lets c...gasp, mine is what do you know. All else aside the true champ will be crown on the 25 so we will have 2 wait till then but i can guarantee u it's not going to be a hendersonville kid because there arms are going to b so tires from the push ups the won't be able to bowl.

As a Soddy bowler, When we bowled Columbia Central, they showed great respect and sportsmanship including Michael. He is right about saying all he has done is say good luck to everybody and even includes it during a match. Yet again, I see no reason why you are trying to take fame from him.

Coach,

You must be extremely proud of this young man. Best of luck in the State!

I am proud of Michael, as well as every athlete on both of our teams. He practices EVERY day and is anxious to learn from every experience. He will succeed in life after bowling because he has an energy about him that breeds success. We stress sportsmanship to our teams. They will never disrespect other bowlers or their school. We had a post by a CCHS bowler last year that was an embarrassment to us all. He is no longer a part of our team. No one wants to win more than our team, but we will win or lose with class.

I still feel we had the best team last year, but were defeated by Hardin County. We were left with the distinction of being the only team in the state to defeat both teams in the eventual finals. Our kids were broken hearted but they lost with their pride intact. This years group is bowling for that team as a form of redemption.

Thanks for your posts this year catsbackr!

Stephen, you are right Micheal and many others did not bowl well last year at state. Also I have been at other tournaments where Micheal has blown away the field. I am not here to say he is the greatest and he is going to win state, I just know he works hard, maybe even like you, and many others around state. His performance this year is impressive, he has been very consistant in every center he has bowled in.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL GOING TO STATE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
