highschoolgameday22
Im going with Pearl-Cohn baseball field home of the firebirds. I know most of you are thinking "THERE STADUIM IS TERRIBLE". And i know Pearl-Cohn is not even close to being a baseball school. Some coaches play thier freshman team against Pearl-Cohn. In a school that is known for Football first, Great marching band second, and then everything else. However the school has team up with RBI in Nashville that teaches kids to play baseball. Renovations first took place back in the summer where they laid down new dirt, foul poles, a batters mound, and comes with a sprinkler system. More things to come is a scorebord and bleechers. To most poeple outside the Pearl-Cohn area some may say WOW IS THAT IT. However if you talk to Pearl-Cohn officals they are exicted because they not only are they helping start a new baseball era at Pearl Cohn, the Firebirds are also reaching to the community with the renovated baseball field. It use to be were opposing schools refuse to play at Pearl-Cohn but starting this season they might not mind at all. Granted Pearl-Cohn hasnt won a baseball game since the spring of 2002.They should have good things to come.
ksgovols
RBI is a great program and I'm glad Pearl-Cohn is taking advantage of it. In the old days before they combined, Cohn High School had an outstanding baseball program. I hope some of that tradition returns.
coachshhs2
Two things you can do to your facilities during a drought. Good deal. Lights are good. Now JPII can play games that the parents can see and increase their gate. Spring Hill High School Varsity field is quickly becoming one of the best fields to play on in the area. The head coach Paul Lamm has put countless hours into the field maintenance to be sure we at SHHS have the best possible facilities. We are in the process of upgrading our scoreboard also.
