Sorry to hear that as I enjoyed watching him on the AAU circuit. I was good friends with his dad in ET. I heard knee and also heard shoulder injury. Which was it and will he be able to be at 100% next year?

Shoulder, not knee. Surgery was successful. He should be fine to play both football and basketball next year.

BA simply had a terrible game. They did not get into a rhythm offensively or defensively.

Which may have had something to do with the fact that Miles Asafo Adjaie and the rest of the Tigers played really outstanding defense, and hit the boards like crazy. I also thought Jacob Stallings had some really questionable shot selection. I know he can make them from NBA 3 point range and beyond, but it doesn't help a team get into a rhythm offensively when he's jacking up those bombs, missing, and the other team gets fast breaks off the long rebounds. If you average out the two games he shot a decent percentage from long range. Its just that practically all of the makes were in the 1st quarter of the 1st game, but he's kept putting them up a good clip since then, with a lot less success.

Also, Gary Pope plays bigger than any 6'1'' or 6'2'' kid I've ever seen. And he plays hard, and well at all phases of the game. Daniel McFadden, a 6'3" sophomore held his own just fine against bigger, more experienced Eagles inside. A very good . all around game by a solid, very very well coached Ensworth team.

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
