Waverly versus Bolivar

Well, first of all, we do live in a generation with VCR's, tivo, DVR's. Second, it wasn't the matter of changing the game to 4, but the fact that the Bolivar people wanted to change it to 4 after not wanting to change a game that would kill two birds with one stone. If you move both games to Friday, they can watch their game, Waverly doesn't have to travel twice saving hundreds of dollars in gasoline, saving emissions (lol). Why wouldn't they want to play both the same night and help both teams involved? The coaches feel the same way here. Believe me! Yes, Kevin is a bigger man than their coach because he helped out the situation.

About being a poor sport. I guess everyone else in Waverly is a poor sport then, because I've heard talk all day long from everyone involved as fans, players, coaches, teachers, etc. that feel the very same way. I just voiced it here on CoachT.

Is it being a poor sport to want to save money? To help someone not be burdened with expenses? Get a grip Lions!

How is your coach the better man...? Coach Rudey needs as much rest that he can get, because both the girls and the boys are going to state this year. So stop complaining about yall having to come to Bolivar twice in one week. If you fans feel so heart broken about the game being on different nights, then just stay at home and listen to it on the radio.-Oh! and back to when you said yall coach is the better man..how is? Does he know how stressful it is to coach two teams in one night? I see he don't cause if he did then yall wouldn't be complaining about the games!!

Coach Rudesil is looking out for the best interest of his girls. The whole season he has to leave the post game locker room to coach the boys. He was guarding the time to be with the girls team after the game, win or lose. He wanted to be there. That is very important. Bolivar boys have gotten a ton of attention. The girls deserve him, too. Good job, Coach!!! Keep looking out for all your players. We are proud to have you here in Bolivar!!!

Yes we are! Coach we really appreciate you being here for us...and especially for not giving up on us when we were not winning....!tcamom is right too...the boys have gotten a lot of attention now its our tyme to get some!!!

I think the 'better man' reference referred to Waverly agreeing to move the boys game up to 4:00 so the Bolivar boys fans who have an alumnus playing for both UT and Memphis could watch that game. A very classy move as TSSAA dictates that the games be played at 7:00 P.M. Waverly's coach did not have to do that AND he didn't go back on his word after Bolivar refused to play both games on the same day.

I waited until today to make any comments but it was very upsetting to see officials determine the winner in the game between Waverly/Bolivar. Waverly led most of the game and even with 1:45 to go. But the officials decide to call everything including touch fouls that helped Bolivar shoot 20 free throws in the fourth quarter alone. Waverly shot 0.

Their radio guy also told me that they had never shot that good at the free throw line all year.

So sad we don't let kids play. Also a school official was telling the referees what to call each time down the court. Someone was standing beside him when he would tell them and they would call it. So so sad. Don't matter, Cheatham or Creek Wood will beat them easily.

that's not what I was told by one of your people in Bolivar tonight. He wanted his boys to get and extra day of rest. They overmatch us and won't need it. We are young. But I hope they play the game of their lives tomorrow and pull the upset.

I just read this post of yours and I'm shocked at how much "intelligence" you were able to gain from one of our people in Bolivar ! Are you kidding or just not living in the real world? Why on earth would a Bolivar fan want to give you any information about what our coach thought?

You are wrong. I know our coaches well and the main deal was that they wanted the girls to have their own night to shine. They were the underdogs and they deserved their own night! It would make sense for the guys to get an extra day of rest...but you are once again mistaken.

And we won the right to homecourt advantage! What about this do you not get? Therefore, it's our decision whether you like it or not. Sorry, but it doesn't matter one bit what other schools decided. Just like it didn't matter what you brought in with your Wal-Mart bags! Our coaches...as yours would too...did what was to their advantage and to let the girl's have their own night. The guys have really had several great years...so many of us want the girls to have their chance to shine. If you we're in our position...you might feel the same way.

As for what "one of your coaches told you"...I'd be willing to bet it wasn't your head coach. If it was truly any coach at all.

No offense to most Waverly Tiger fans. But you have complained about almost every picky thing on both boards. Next year, gas will be higher, you said Waverly was hosting-so maybe you'll get your "revenge" for Bolivar making the trip.

So now it's the officials fault. I guess if we win, the fix must be in...according to you.

Or a school official actually telling referees what to call /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" , as if they were too stupid to call the game.

Nostradamus, I'm so glad to know ahead of time how the game will turn out. Especially since your previous prognostications(that means guesses PT) were so on target.

NO one said the officials were too stupid to call the game. But the school administrator did tell them what to call. Yes, I talked to one of the coaches. And yes, unless there is someone walking around with a Bolivar faculty shirt on that is not faculty, I was told by someone on the faculty and involved with sports about the rest.

Now as far as predetermining things, I don't know what the future holds but I do know that Bolivar shot 20 FT to Waverly's 0 in the fourth quarter alone. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" Also, I heard several people last night at the game in which I was just an observer say they hope Bolivar gets beat because they were the rudest fans in their district. This was from 12AA people. That's not my call.

And the only regret I have is that I will not be there Wednesday night to see Creek Wood beat Bolivar. I have more important things to do, like go to church.

Why don't you throw out some names so we can get to the bottom of this. I'd like more than this "anonymous" person. In fact, just send me an email if you want to so we can preserve this "anonymous" person's identity. Prosushi@gmail.com

And even if our admins told the refs what to call, if the refs listened, then that's their fault. But it's not any different from a fan yelling at the ref telling him to make a call.

Finally, from the way you have presented yourself on the boards, I'd say that you should be in church.

I don't care what 12AA people have to say about our fans and just like on every team their are fans that are rude. The Bolivar girls team has worked hard to be successful this season. Keep up the good work girls and keep your class and ignore what other people say about you. You deserve to be where you are. Good Luck the rest of the post season.

The way I presented myself? By calling people out on the mistreatment of kids? I don't have a kid playing, haven't in 4 years, but I will take up for any kid that is mistreated. And all I have ever posted is asking for some courtesy from other schools. Nothing has been said out of the way from me.

And we all need to be in church.

    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
    • This whole situation is bonkers. You don’t just kick your star player off the team just because you heard them say the F word; the coach definitely had something against the player, or somebody definitely did. Also, nobody has brought up the idea that the school blackmailed the college to get the college to withdraw the scholarship offer, not to mention that the coach who kicked her off is no longer even with the program; they were fired. I think this is a pretty easy lawsuit. I don’t know if she should deserve that much money, but I think she should get enough money for a full-ride scholarship if she cannot get one after this situation.
    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
