I was wondering what is the time limits and innings played in each JV and Varsity High School Ball

Just like there is "no crying in baseball"; there is no time limit.

Varsity 7 innings. JV 5-7 innings.

There may be a limit to the amount of time you play due to no lights at many high school fields. JV might time it just to get it in./thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

The only situations that time limits are used in Varsity games is in invitational tournaments or something of that matter. Regular scheduled games and district, region, sectional, and state tournament games have no time limit. 66in74 is right... darkness could play a role in time limit if a field does not have lights. In this situation games are usually scheduled to start earlier. It also helps now that Daylight Savings time has been moved up. So darkness is not that big of a factor as it was in the past.

Typically spring varsity games have no time limit and will play out 7 innings. Alt of times JV sticks to a two hour time limit especially if a varsity game follows. Tournaments are strictly up to who is hosting the tournament. Summer games many times have time limits on them because they aren't TSSAA. At least how it mostly goes here in Shelby.

Seems like most of the coaches in E TN are using lots more than 7 innings to circumvent the 4 scrimmage rule. If a 15 inning scrimmage gets the varsity and JV some time so be it. It's still just one scrimmage.

its called beating the system lol /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
