Guest nwtnsports
I guess that's 13AA. Dyersburg (1-0, 1-0) Milan (5-4, 1-0) Obion Co. (2-5, 0-2) Gibson Co. (5-1, 0-0) Westview (7-2-1, 0-0) Not sure about Crockett Co. - they're listed on here as 1-1, but have played a few more games than that. What about the Lady Choctaws? GCPioneer
Gibson Co. now stands at 7-2. defeated Trenton 13-2 lost to Greenbrier 3-5 defeated Harpeth 6-0 defeated Clarksville Acad. 12-0 defeated Martin Luther King 5-2 defeated Henry Co. 4-3 defeated Lewis Co. 7-6 lost to Clarksville NE 3-9 defeated East Hickman 7-4 Does Gibson Co. have a legit shot at a District championship? Obviously Coach Hinson is coaching the softball team well. Last year their record finished at 15-22 and so far this year through 9 games they are 7-2. Guest nwtnsports
Thanks for the update, GCP. There are usually several good teams in the MTSCA tournament, and it seems that Gibson Co. played really well this weekend. I think the Lady Pioneers have just three seniors on the roster, but they have gotten off to a good start. Coach Hinson is a great guy, too. I'd say they have a shot at competing for the district championship. 13AA softball has been interesting the last couple of years, though. Westview went 7-5 in regular-season district play last season, but won four straight games in the tournament and went on to state. Sometimes it's just a matter of playing well in May. WildWest3
Great district.....Looks like the rain has set in. We will have a better Idea in the next few weeks on how things will shape out. Is the Eaves kid out for Obion Co.??? She was their ace pitcher. It would be awfull if that is true. This should be a tight race all the way to the finish>> Good look teams!!!!! GCPioneer
Gibson Co. defeated Obion Co. yesterday 4-2. That puts Gibson Co. with a 9-3 record. The game with Martin Westview today was cancelled. Gibson Co. travels to Atwood tomorrow to take on West Carroll weather permitting. Good Luck!!
