In a very close and competitive game, Lipscomb beat Lexington 8-7 in 8 innings. Great game as neither team would give in but Lipscomb had alittle more throughout the lineup to pull it out. Lipsomb just wouldnt quit coming back. They came back in the 6th, 7th to tie the game and finally the 8th to win it.

Credit the Keck kid for a gutty effort. He was done in the 6th inning but just kept battling. He's a fine player.

Well I'm gonna say what everybody is wanting to say - first of all, congratulations to both teams. Sounds like it was one heck of a game. Congratulations to Keck on a great high school career and good luck at the next level. Now - - - with the talent Lexington had this year they should have played a much tougher schedule starting with game #1. They weren't used to seeing good pitching and it really showed in the Boliver game as Drew dominated them. They weren't used to losing and got rattled. I would have liked to see them make it to state, but a lot of people had doubts how well they would do because they had played such a weak schedule. 20-0 doesn't mean squat tonight!

you're kidding right? First of all congrats on the season boys. Second, Lexington beat bolivar 3 out of the 5 times they faced them. They beat their stud Will Irvin 4-0 and they beat Mr.Griffin 12-3. This is ridiculous, how can you talk so bad about a team that had a great season and came up short to a very good David Lipscomb team who played their hearts out to beat them. The weak schedule had nothing to do with anything. And they HAD lost before so they DID know what it feels like. Again congratulations on the season guys it was impressive and fun to keep up with. As for everyone talking about schedules and how they weren't ready, those are the opinions you should be ashamed of. They got beat not because of any particular reason. David Lipscomb ha a better game. That's the end of it.
