Well the brackets are out and I'm sure there will be much discussion. Tuesday's first round pairings are as follows.

Game 1 North Greene vs. Cornersville 5 PM

Game 2 Whitwell vs. Trinity Christian (following game 1)

Game 3 Huntingdon vs. Forrest 5 PM

Game 4 Midway vs. Friednship Christian (following game 3)

Cornersville should win the first game, and Friendship should win their game. I think the middle two games should be good games as well. Everyone knows about Rutledge, the Renfroes, and Stinett, but I would definitely keep an eye on Brooke Thomas for Huntingdon. I think the game between Forrest and Huntingdon will be a very good game.

Glad to see the two favorites(Trinity and Friendship) don't match up early. Also glad to see they didn't pair up the two Marshall county teams(Forrest and Cornersville). Seems like the competition gets better every year. Trinity and Friendship may be the two to beat. However, Forrest has proved they belong and I think Huntingdon, Whitwell, and Cornersville could all make some noise as well.

Can someone get in touch with the coach from Trinity Christian Academy and let them know they need to submit their team roster to the TSSAA office immediately? They will be left out of the program if TSSAA does not receive their roster by Sunday at 12:00 PM CST. The roster can be faxed to (615) 889-0544 or e-mailed to tssaa@tssaa.org.

Me too. It was a shame they paired them up in the first round last year. Go FCS

    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
