The Catholic - CAK match-up in finals will happen this year. It was a very down year in Chattanooga and Nashville. Also, some of the traditionally strong teams in A-AA Middle Tenn. had rebuilding years. Hopefully, next year the teams representing the other regions will be able to challenge Knoxville's region like in 2007.

 

 

I don't know if it was a "very down" year in Chattanooga but, for the most part, what you are saying is true. I know of some A/AA teams in Chattanooga that always adopt the mentally of "fighting for third" in their district/region. Teams like Hixson and East Ridge must be kicking themselves - if there was a year for them to make a run, this was it.

 

They should take a note from Boyd and CSAS. CCS and Hixson were very very beatable this year. This was a missed opportunity for several teams that Boyd took advantage of.

With all respect wbcsoccerstud11 have you been to any of the CAK games this year especially the last 2? I find it funny when I hear people say that all CAK has is brandon tarr. He is a great player, but the other 10 on the field are very good as well. If you give all your attention to brandon, he is smart enough to know how to be a decoy, and when you do forget him for a moment, it is too late. The only difference for CAK this year is the youth that has been forced into more prominent roles than in the past. How's that for scary in the next few years. And I agree with Coach above, any good coach would let brandon do his thing in a big time setting. Good luck to all those that try to beat Brandon, I mean CAK.

I like SCHS' chances against USJ because I think they have had a little tougher competition. Their only loss was to a pretty good AAA Cookeville team. The downside is that SCHS will have to really show up on defense because USJ likes to put the ball in the net a lot.

 

Big G needs to think likewise for CAK as White House-Heritage likes to put the ball in the net a bunch of times too. Only loses with JPII and a close game with Goodpasture. 93 goals scored so far this year. Harder schedule by far goes to CAK.

 

Knox Catholic looks too strong for anybody but........that is why they play the game. New England Patriots ring any bells....

CAK was not by any means 6 goals better than Heritage. I hope they earned some respect from some people who saw them play that had not before. And Tarr is not all that CAK has. Their midfield passes the ball extremely well. People cant say "Without Tarr they would be nothing". If you take Tarr off of their team you have to take your best player off as well and see what happens. He is a striker and his TEAM does an excellent job of getting him the ball.
