Congratulations to Jackson Christian for winning the 2008 A state championship. This means for the second year in a row that a private school will win both the A and AA state championships!!!! When will the TSSAA figure out if you pay to go to school, you need to play the other schools that pay not the public schools. Come on Ronnie Carter---Fix the problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread should be moved to the Public-Private discussion board -- and probably will be.

Another private state champion. In only a few more hours we will have another private state champion in AA. How about fixing the problem and giving the public schools a chance?

please congratulate on a state championship and then go over to the public private forum and start this stuff there thank you

Ronnie Carter has his problems and faults but this is not his problem. If you want the private schools out of D1 then you need to convince the Board of Control to vote to place all private schools in D2. The only problem with placing all of the private schools in D2 is that the private schools would then form their own association a leave the TSSAA & public schools and that would cause a financial void.

    • Looks like everybody's favorite dad is on the move again. Mount Juliet, BA, LIpscomb, Ensworth and now some lucky(?) school in Carolina as the "preacher" has taken a job with the Carolina Panthers. His snow continues to fall.
    • Before this gets out of hand like last time .. seriously guys who is top candidates??? Do they go outside the box or hire from with in??
    • I’ve known a few players who went through TKA, and the only problem is the line, like athletes up there are easy to come by. There’s been great athletes came through TKA. It’s just they can never find a line and the ones they do aren’t that good.
    • Pretty sure it’s the school he is zoned for, but TKA wasn’t sure if they were going to have a football team this upcoming season, like a months ago. A lot of the good players hit the hay, mainly to GP, but a few went to Concord, which is a school in Knoxville, making a lot of questionable promises, and the rest just went back home to places like Clinton, South Doyle, Seymour, etc.
