Old Pirate says its TIME for all the boys from the county to return to

the rough tough style of football that it once was. There is no excuse for all 3 teams to not field a quality team.

OP was thinking about a post team 69 made regarding the old teams in the sixties when all three were very good.

There has been a lot of talk about what if's, but OP believes all 3 teams have quality coaches and in time will produce winning programs.

Old Pirate wishes all 3 coaching staffs good luck.

OP readily remembers when the valley was tough thru out the SVC.

OP believes there are 5 new head coaches. (Jasper, Whitwell,Tracy City,Dunlap and Pikeville)

Bledsoe's coach is entering his second year. The others that you named have first-year coaches. I agree... I believe that all of the coaches in the Valley are quality coaches and quality individuals. What's important now is for the players and fans to give them their full support so that they can build their respective programs. People need to remember that it takes time to build or rebuild, whichever the case may be.....

Good luck to all of the schools in the Valley.... Looking forward to another fun year of football!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Even though there are new coaches in the valley all of them know what it was like 10-20 years ago in the valley and many of them remember growing up watching the SVC and the rivalries. I guarantee these new guys will do what it takes to get their squads back to respectability and bring the level of play back to where "Valley Ball" used to be.
