Heard the news that John Sneed former Father Ryan basketball and softball coach at Father Ryan is returning to his alma-mater after spending the last few years at John Paul II. What wonderful news. A great coach, teacher, family man. Big loss for JPII. Welcome Back. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

This should be on the boys board, but yes it is a tremendous loss for JPII as John is a fantastic coach and a great leader of young men. He will be sorely missed on both fronts as a coach and teacher. He gave his all to help build JPII into what it is and was very loyal to the school until the very end. I know this decision was tough. Good luck to him and it will be hard to replace him so late.

Actually time will tell if this is posted on the wrong board. I would say that it is impossible to replace him, you may get another coach, but you won't replace him.

What will John be coaching at Ryan, and who is going to take his place at JPII?

It is a good question and no one yet has answered except someone thinks he will be coaching boys. This poster is familiar with this coach and he fits everything that is right about coaching at FR. JPII lost a fine person. Thats not like them either.

The Tennessean reports that John Sneed will be taking on the duties of assistant athletic director, and assistant boys and girls basketball. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Boy, did they get a bargain. But everyone knows of his work ethic and with all that goes with that package this is very likely good for both parties. This poster does not think there would be many people who could fill those shoes as well as John Sneed. Best of luck.
