SCBisondad
Does anyone have any info on the Bears as far as scrimmages? I lost my inside hook up (nephew) due to one of the many seniors that graduated from last years team.
Eddie
MJ had a good day of work with Oakland High Friday the 1st. Spirited play between the O and D lines. 7-on-7 work with skill players. Mt. Juliet played two quarterbacks -- both looked solid. They'll be replacing nearly every starter off last year's playoff team. Oakland's numbers were WAY up. You know you have been in a war when you play those guys. I will enjoy them being back in 5A. That coach always has them prepared , and I am sure glad he didn't get that Blackman job a few yrs back. WHEW! Good luck to them.
Teddybear
Yes, much of last years team has departed due to graduation. The new bears (this years team) is jr.s and sophmores. They held their own with a much bigger Oakland team. They do have areas of concern and need several of the young men to step up and play key roles. From the stands it looked evenly matched for much of the scrimage. I don't understand the what scrimage format they used, but I believe Oaklands one's beat Mjs 1-0 on the last play, but otherwise both teams seemed even in comparison. Look forward to further post. Do they scrimmage tomorrow?

This year should be interesting in the fact that no one for sure knows what to expect after replacing so many from last year. I know we have got the coaching and they will get every ounce of talent out of this team, but this team is so inexperienced. Does anyone know if the new field will be ready in time for the first home game? Go Bears!
