Its been a long loss streak for many teams playing and scrimmaging GV. If GV is down expect them to talk trash. They deserve the chance for now. But I am sure things will change soon. A young team always matures. Like the old saying. A good dog has his day, but a great dog has many more.

I suggest before you judge the new GV coach you go check his win loss record. This is not his first rodeo. He took a giant step down to return to coach at his alumni. I respect that. I also respect a lot of other things he has done to improve the program. It will pay off in the long run.

Gordonsville always had around 40 players on the roster just like this year. The problem is the 40 players were equally distributed between upperclassmen and lower classmen. This year we have 10 upperclassmen and 30 lowerclassmen. I don't know how many of the 10 upperclassmen are going to start. Gordonsville will be better late in the season when the main region games begin. I suspect Gordonsville will have to battle Monterey and Watertown for the last two playoff spots behind FCS and TC.
