I believe this will be only PJPII's second time to come to the Brier. This should be an exciting game with new skilled players for the Bobcats and many returning players. We welcome the Knights to Greenbrier with your first chance to check out our renovations. Remember the sides are now swapped, and the Knights will be on the side with the white pressbox.

Have a safe trip up....and let's talk football!

JPII had a very.........VERY.........memorable performance by a young man named Golden Tate during their last trip to Greenbrier.

Last year Greenbrier ended a two game slide against PJPII when Ryan Dickerson crossed the goal line in the late stages of the contest to put the Bobcats ahead for good.

I look for this year's matchup to be another very exciting battle in what's quickly become a very good early season rivalry /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

You bash SC on every post. Why so glum, chum? Good luck to the cats and may both teams be safe.

Did the DB for PJPII try to pick off the pass that Ziegler caught on the deflection or did he try to knock it to the ground and Ziegler caught it anyway????? I just read the article in the Tennessean and was really confused.

That sounds like it was the wildest game of the night in Week 0 for the second year in a row and Greenbrier again won it in the final moments of the contest. Congrats to the Bobcats!

PJPII has to be heartbroken after losing that one. From the article that I read it seemed as if they controlled the game and had it taken from them by a gritty Greenbrier squad in the end /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Congradulations to Greenbrier. After watching the scrimmage at Westmoreland I felt ya'll would win some games this season. Ziegler is an exciting player to watch. Next year we will be battling during the season. Hope Ziegler is a senior this year.

Both he and Cody Elder are. Treavor Thaxton and Connor Jones will be two of the names ringing in your ears next year.

    • With Westview only losing one senior and returning Sims, they have to be one of the favorites in AA
    • Watched Westview at McKenzie Thursday and they surprised me. Without Evans (who was sick) and Brent (who had thumb surgery shortly after getting back from her ankle injury), they looked solid. I didn’t realize Gray from SF had transferred in. You have Sims, Gray, Brent, Trevathan, and Evans and that’s a solid 5. Then, you bring in Hayden and Rogers off the bench along with some other upcoming and they will be tough again this year!
    • Hmmmmmm doe dee doe doe……sounds like they are leaving Geenback faster than the lawnmower will go in fifth gear.  Hmmmm….. you can bet the lawnmower on that.
    • West looked solid...excited to see this young group excel
    • When you have a school that right at 200 kids only half are going to be male and to get 25% of them to come out for football is a very hard task. Take away an 8th grade syatem and your you have another hill to climb up. If 5 kids are actually leaving your not going to have enough for practice. Your only chances for wins would be against the weakest of weak teams. At one time Greenback had kids coming across the wall like the Mexican Border and now their leaving town before sundown. A hugh mistake was made on not hiring Ryan back because of his ties to the community and his ability to bring in the right kids, not run them off. The last coach failed because he wasn't one of community so they go out and do it again. I'm sure Coach Clemmer is a good person because I do know people that do like him but he is caught in the middle of a fan base that will not support him no matter what and it could lead to a disaster if that many kids are leaving the program. The person that caused all of this mess has no business on the school board and needs to stick with hiding in the bushes giving out speeding tickets to out of towners coming through.
