Both teams have week 2 contests to worry about first.

Those who look too far ahead can get burned!

thats exactly right. but i am a fan i am lookin forward to the game. ward doesn't let his players look ahead. he takes it one game at a time. he is a dang good coach

yeah its gona be good. i dont think they'll pull away though cause the way camden looked agianst trenton they were in tremendous shape!

Although I do agree that Camden did look good, judging just how good against a young, grieving Trenton squad that only had two days of practice might be putting the cart before the horse a little. Both Milan and Camden have games against in-region foes this coming week. Both will focus on those games and take everyone else one game at a time because that's what good teams and good coaches do. Excitement and pride is great...but one game at a time, one game at a time.

I would suggest that you take the lead of your teams coach as well /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> .

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
