I say lebanon gets this one easily, as long as the play hard into the 2nd half

SHS is struggling and Lebanon still has the 'lift'. I am taking Lebanon in this one.

im a smyrna boy so always will root for the team. the thing about smyrna is not the coachs and not the players. they have a lot of discipline and leadership. smyrna's thing is that they can't seem to get the drive going. not everything about them has formed and fused together. about the game friday they will face a very talented and tough lebanon team. 0-2 means nothing to smyrna and its not a bad record considering its just the beginning. this game is open to both teams but the one with the best tempo and fewer penalties will win.

Whats the Off Field Crap?

 

The Wilson Co. Board of Education is having trouble balancing the budget for the 08-09 school year so one of the things that have been cut in order to balance is all coaching supplements (for all sports, not just football) as of Sept. 15. The school board is asking the county commission for a 24 cent property tax increase in order to adequately fund the coaches supplements but the county commission is only wanting to implement a 20 cent increase. If this is not resolved by Sept. 15 then there is a very real possibility that sports will be done for 08-09 at Lebanon, Wilson Central, Watertown, and Mt. Juliet.
