Fairview & Creek Wood are both coming off of very heartbreaking losses to Hickman Co. & Marshall Co. respectively.

 

For Fairview it was the second very tough loss in three weeks. They could easily be 3-0 but mistakes against Page and the inability to make a big play against Hickman Co. cost them dearly. IMO the Yellow Jackets may be the best 1-2 team in the entire state.

 

Creek Wood looked awful against Clarksville with a bunch of turnovers. Against Marshall Co. the Red Hawks played very good and could have easily put themselves in a position to start out at 2-0 in the region (they have Mont. Cent. next week). A tough pass interference call went against them and then the Marshall Co. kicker came through in the clutch. Creek Wood may be the best 0-2 team in the state.

 

 

 

I expect this to be a low scoring smash mouth contest between two teams who love to run the football. The winner of this game gets a huge boost going into next week's region slate.

I agree. cw will probably pound the ball smash mouth style and probably end up wearing down the D.

from what i hear and have seen they are not very good this year. must not have any offense. barely beat an average mt. pleasant team. do us a favor and beat up on them so they won't be full strength next week.

 

 

 

You know Bob, if Fairview is so bad then why would you want them to be all beat up. Is it maybe you guys are a bit scared??? Can you not handle the Yellow Jackets at full strength?? Fairview's offense is getting better and they should win tonight. Maybe you guys from LC need to work on your offense a little bit because the Fairview defense is playing the best ball I've seen in the last 6 or 7 years. In the last 6 quarters the defense has not given up a point and that's pretty impressive when you're playing a team like Hickman Co. I think Fairview will open up the offense a little bit more tonight and take it to a creekwood team who they should have beat last year.

      I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.

      Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.

      Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!

      Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
