hoopsguru12
Two of the best players I have seen so far in Region 4 would be Staley Haynes from Siegel, who is a powerful, good blocking full-back with a great speed burst. And Justin Bowers from Blackman. He is a solid player who can pretty much do everything from the defensive to the offensive side of the ball. I would also say Caleb Barber from Wilson Central has a good future ahead of him. Is he the brother of the Rogers reciever who plays at Tennessee? staley...heck he isnt even the best player on their team...how about Marc gooch
Cascadefan4ya
Cascade Champions QB Jacob Carkuff - their record speaks for its self. 9 - 0 going into week 10. Carcuff scoredwhat turned out to be the game winning TD with no time on the clock at Jo Byrns. Then the kicker put up the extra point for a 15 - 14 win... ------> UPDATE ! ! 11 - 0 1A Region 5 Cascade Champions /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> #9 -- Carkuff has my vote !!! AP.battleground.59
Flying under the radar is Daniel Pugh at Zion Christian Academy. 136 pass completions, 16 passing TDs, 1884 yds passing, 4 rushing TDs, averages 35 to 40 yards per punt with two games to go. With limit time on defense has made 2 interceptions. He passed for 436 yds against Moore County with 3 passing TDs and 3 running TDs. Half of his passing yardage has been against Moore County, Collinwood, Wayne County and Mt Pleasant. And he's thrown 90 or so interceptions? wholder
I have a name that everyone will most likley hear LOTS of for the next two seasons. Antonio Richardson at Ensworth. Antoino is a beast and his name will be brought quiet a few times in the future. He had to sit out the 2008 season because of transfer reasons. As a Freshman he was 6'3" or 6'4" at 315 pounds. He was a monster playing 1A ball with Mt Pleasant last year.
prowler029
Hunter Poteete QB for Dekalb county deserves a mention in this thread i was just about to say that poteete is a VERY talented QB and DeKalb would suffer without him

SEC1rules
Take a look at the Tennessean's "Dandy Dozen" Article in their high school sports section. It has stats, videos and interviews with all the best players. It has 2 players from Henry Co. on it: Marsalis Teague QB and Dominique Allen RB. Both are studs and two of the best players in the state!
EagleTalon
And he's thrown 90 or so interceptions? Finished year with 20 INTs and 20 TDs. Even the best have a hard time without a running game, look at Peyton Manning, his INTs to TDs is about even right now. With a underclassman line and 1st year running back linebackers are not kept from blitzing or out of passing lanes. He finished at top of passing leader list in state with 2417 yards and 169 completions as a junior. That is tenth on state record single season passing which includes playoff games without playing a playoff game. 4732 career passing yards. That has been done with underclassmen receivers.
